Par Astrid Morréale and Rindi York
These photographs were taken in April 2011 just as the sunlight appeared on the streets of Paris as warm bodies lay without shelter, altered by a liquid poison. In an attempt to identify their needs, we have come to understand that those who suffer on the very streets we walk, suffer quietly in our shadows.
ABOUT THIS WORK:
These work focused on the people which for one reason or another have found themselves without a home, living in the streets with the company of alcohol and drugs. The work was inspired by the work of Emile Zola, L'Assommoir (1877) "A harsh and uncompromising study of alcoholism and poverty in the working-class districts of Paris"
